Articles: How Your Human Design Shapes Your Life
What Human Design Type Are You?
According to Human Design, people fall into five distinct types. Each type has a distinct pattern of defined or undefined energy centers. The defined centers indicate consistent energy that that person can always draw on. For example, Manifestors . They are the only type that is pure initiating energy - the only type that can “just Do It!” They have a defined Throat center so they don’t have to wait to start things up. However, in spite of their ability to initiate things, they do not have the sustained energy that comes from a defined Sacral. A regular nine-to-five job exhausts them and can anger the Manifestor. Most Manifestors do not understand their own energy and their many starts and few finishes can inflict feelings of inadequacy and failure. They make up about 8% of the population. Then you have the pure Generator. Pure Generators are just like they sound – unstoppable energy! They make up about 37% of the population and are the worker-bees of the world. They are here to master their craft and easily live by the motto “Pick one thing and do it really great!” This is what my father used to tell me, but as a Reflector, I was completely flummoxed by this idea. Generator are production power-houses; give them a clear directive and then get out of their way. Manifesting Generators combine this sustainable go-get-em energy with the just-do-it-right-now energy. Manifesting-Generators have a defined Throat center and comprise about 33 % of the population. These individuals can both start a project and do the work. T People without this defined Sacral have energy, but it is less consistent. They need to be around people with the Sacral defined so they can draft their non-stop energy. They draft it and amplify it, and sometimes work harder than the Generators! They don't know when enough is enough. They work until they collapse, and their undefined energy centers can't create more energy. They need a day or two to recover. Projectors make up about 20% of the population. They are the most misunderstood and challenged of all the types, yet they are also often the most capable leaders and visionaries in their professions. Their biggest challenge is finding the right team to lead – and waiting to be invited to lead them. They do not have sustainable energy, yet often adopt a “never say die” attitude and burn themselves out. They do better when they are well supported by teammates with defined Sacral energy. About 1% of the population are Reflectors. All their energy centers are open; nothing is sustainable. They are not here to work the nine-to-five job, nor necessarily lead the team or start the business. However, they can absorb and amplify energy, and apply it to be successful in anything they pursue long enough. That's the key. With all their open centers they are here to sample life an become wise, and as a result are easily tempted to the next new thing to learn and do. They are also some of the nicest people on the planet, very empathetic and intuitive and too easily exploited. Can you say "doormat." How Your Incarnation Cross Reveals Your Life Purpose
The human design chart has three parts: The body graph, the birth chart and the keynotes. It is the synthesis of these elements that creates the meaning of your chart.
The keynotes run vertically on the side of the chart. The larger number is the activated gate associated with each planet and the smaller superscript number is the location of the planet in that gate.
The right column in black is the conscious or personality column. People are often aware of these characteristics and may work easily or struggle with them. The left side of the column is red and is the unconscious or design aspect. We are often unaware of how these characteristics impact us.
Combined, these four energies comprise about 70 percent of our personality expression. Basically, these energies reveal who we are, what we are driven to do, our faults and potential mistakes, and ultimately our destiny or purpose, if we discover and choose to accept it.
The gate energy in the conscious sun position (top right black number) is the most significant of the four. All the other energies of your chart are expressed through the conscious sun gate energy. It is the major characteristic of your life.
For instance, my conscious sun gate is 44, with the quality of bringing lessons from the past into the present, so that we don’t repeat the mistakes of the past. You see, it is not a job description, but more a description of the role we play in life.

What Is Your Cosmic Contribution?
Every person carries a piece of light inside them that makes up the whole of the human element of the Cosmos. And it only takes 8,000 pieces of light to begin impacting the direction of our collective consciousness.
If you want world peace, prosperity for all, and love to be our guiding light rather that running from the darkness of fear, then get on board with your fellow travelers and start contributing your light to our collective consciousness.
There are many paths to enlightenment . Perhaps you are already on a path, or have tried many. It really doesn’t matter how you get there. Human Design is just one such step. Personally, I have studied many paths and I like that Human Design is such a quick and easy way to answer some of life’s big questions like “Why Am I Here?” “What am I here to do?” “Why is life so hard?” “How can I make my life easier?” “What is the truth?"
Learning about your Human Design can be like coming home. It is a blueprint of who you are and a perfect method to begin remembering why you are here.
It helps you understand your unique contribution and why you came to be a human on planet Earth. Once you understand your purpose, you can begin to decondition the human learning that obscures your brilliance. You begin to shift your life into its proper course, aligning with others to share your work. Your Human Design chart helps you see where you are doing what you came here to do, and do more of it.
Looking forward to connecting with you. Click here for your Human Design chart and my E-Book Human Design 101: An Introduction to The Parts of the Human Design Chart. Both are free.

Too Many Ideas, Not Enough Time.
When my daughter was four years old she went into a tailspin yelling “My brain is full, my brain is full.”
She couldn’t process all the ideas that were pouring into her tiny skull. Now that I understand her human design, I can totally grok how overwhelmed she was. She has both her Head and Ajna Centers open, plus strong intuitive channels. Combined, they invited a truckload of ideas into her head and activated multiple methods of processing that data. Understandably, her baby brain locked up.
For people with both the Head and Ajna Centers undefined, the influx of inspiration and ideas can be staggering. It shows up by the piles of lists in our lives, the multiple mind maps and tables and filing systems we use to try to track all the data that bombards us. It shows up as endless books and training courses we collect and all the cross-referenced resources and websites we intend to surf – someday.
People with an open Head and Ajna are under pressure to figure it all out before they do anything. They need an answer to every possible question and have Plan A, Plan B, Plan C, Plan D, Plan Etc.
Do I see a show of hands for people who are nodding and muttering “Been there, done that.“?
There is a saying – something like this – (Notice I’ve curbed my need to know exactly who said it first) -- that knowledge for knowledge sake is useless; only applied knowledge is valuable. Or something to that effect.
So, while the open Head center is the satellite dish for inspiration and information, it does not follow that every idea that hits the dish needs to be used.
Did you get that? You can have ideas that you don’t use. It’s okay. Let those ideas drift by like a leaf on the stream ~~ as one of my meditations tapes likes to say.
And those ideas that you do decide to pursue, pick one way to explore the idea. Do a mind map OR a spreadsheet OR an outline. Resist the temptation to process the same information fifteen different ways. It's still the same information. Instead, focus on how you need to use it - then find the first step and do it. The rest of it will fall into place. Say good-bye to those piles of documents exploring every which way you can look at the same information.
